POSITION SUMMARY
The Equipment Manager is a key member of the Canadian Plains leadership team and will be responsible for maintaining strong lines of communication with various stakeholders ensuring that positive professional relationships are maintained. They will plan and coordinate mechanical services as well as assist when needed. The Equipment Manager will also be responsible for the movement and utilization of equipment in order to maximize usage and minimize cost.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Key member of the CPES Leadership Team
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment
  • Provide technical support as needed
  • Annual capital budget planning and management
  • Involved in the purchase/disposal of capital assets
  • Fleet registration renewals and cancellations
  • Rental equipment procurement and management
  • Managing various consumable inventories at multiple locations
  • Procure various goods and services for multiple business units throughout SE Sask and SW Manitoba
  • Ensure all equipment used by Canadian Plains Energy Services is functioning properly and is maintained and repaired
  • Inventory existing equipment. Ensure that equipment and materials needed are acquired and within budget
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Journeyperson license is considered an asset

  • Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Proven ability to work with others in a team environment
